Last updated: 20 September 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Marine Blue Digital collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information when you use this website or get in touch with us.

1. Who we are

This policy is issued by Marine Blue Digital Pty Ltd (ABN 40 605 667 310), based in Sydney, NSW, Australia (“we”, “us”, “our”). We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

2. What personal information we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us, or that is necessary to operate this website. This includes:

  • Contact enquiries — your name, email address, company name (optional), the service you're interested in, and the details of your message when you submit our contact form.
  • Newsletter — your email address when you subscribe to updates.
  • Technical information — standard data your browser and our hosting provider generate automatically, such as your IP address, device and browser type, and pages visited. This is used to keep the site secure and reliable.

We do not collect sensitive information (as defined by the Privacy Act), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

3. How we use your information

We use your personal information only for the purposes for which you provided it, including to:

  • Respond to your enquiry and provide the information or services you request;
  • Send you our newsletter, where you have subscribed (you can unsubscribe at any time);
  • Operate, secure, and improve this website; and
  • Meet our legal and record-keeping obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for automated advertising or profiling.

4. Who we share it with

We do not disclose your personal information except to trusted service providers who help us run this website and communicate with you. These currently include:

  • Our website hosting provider (Vercel);
  • Our database provider, used to store enquiries and subscriptions (Supabase); and
  • Our email delivery provider, used to send notifications and newsletters (Resend).

These providers only process your information on our instructions. We may also disclose information where required or authorised by law.

5. Overseas disclosure

Some of the service providers listed above store or process data on servers located outside Australia (including in the United States). Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

6. Cookies

This website uses only essential cookies needed for security and core functionality (for example, to keep an authenticated session active in our admin area). We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings.

7. How we protect your information

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure — including encryption in transit and access controls on our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information at every layer.

8. Data retention

We keep your personal information only for as long as needed to fulfil the purpose it was collected for, or as required by law. When it is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.

9. Accessing and correcting your information

You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, at any time by emailing hello@marinebluedigital.com. We will respond within a reasonable period. There is normally no charge to access your information.

10. Data breaches

If a data breach occurs that is likely to result in serious harm, we will respond in line with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme under the Privacy Act, including notifying affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) where required.

11. Complaints

If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first at hello@marinebluedigital.com so we can try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
